These Terms govern your use of the UniTracks mobile application, website, calculator and related services, together called UniTracks or the Service. UniTracks is a planning and calculation tool operated by Benjamin Cossey, a sole trader trading as UniTracks in the United Kingdom.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use UniTracks. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian where required.

2. What UniTracks provides

UniTracks provides tools for academic planning and study, including features that may let you:

Features may differ by device, operating system, country, institution, Free or Pro access, permissions and store availability.

  • Record modules, assessments, credits, marks, estimates and degree rules.
  • Calculate averages, classifications, targets and possible outcomes.
  • Manage deadlines and timetables.
  • Plan revision with Exam Cram and Lock In.
  • Use widgets, notifications, Live Activities, Calendar Sync, Smart Sync and photo import.
  • Use a website degree calculator and transfer a setup into the app.

3. Academic accuracy and responsibility

UniTracks provides estimates, projections and organisational tools. It is not an official university record and does not provide academic, legal or financial advice. Its calculations and projections are not official results, classifications or degree awards.

Degree regulations vary between institutions, courses, cohorts and individual circumstances. Rounding, classification, compensation, resit, placement, credit and progression rules may differ from UniTracks defaults. You are responsible for:

We do not guarantee any mark, classification, progression decision, award, deadline, reminder delivery or academic outcome.

  • Entering complete and accurate information.
  • Selecting or configuring the correct academic rules.
  • Checking important results against current university regulations and official records.
  • Making academic decisions with your institution where appropriate.

4. Your data and device permissions

You retain ownership of the information you enter. You give UniTracks permission to process it on your device and through optional platform services only as needed to provide the features you choose.

Optional features may require access to photos, calendars, notifications, iCloud, widgets, Live Activities, Screen Time controls or other operating-system services. You can refuse or withdraw those permissions, although the related feature may stop working.

You are responsible for keeping your device and platform accounts secure and for maintaining any backups you require. See the UniTracks Privacy Policy for details.

5. UniTracks Pro

Some features require UniTracks Pro. Available plans, prices, billing periods, trials and included features are shown before purchase and may vary by store, region, tax and promotion.

Purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by UniTracks. The separate UniTracks Pro Subscription Terms form part of these Terms.

6. Licence

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use UniTracks for lawful personal academic use, subject to these Terms and the rules of the store from which you obtained the app.

UniTracks software, branding, logos, visual design, content and other intellectual property remain owned by us or our licensors. No ownership rights are transferred to you.

7. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Use UniTracks unlawfully or to infringe another person's rights.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its backend or another user's device or data.
  • Interfere with security, availability, billing, entitlements or technical limits.
  • Upload malicious code or use automated requests in a way that harms the Service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or extract source code except where the law expressly permits it.
  • Copy, redistribute or commercially exploit UniTracks branding, software or protected content without permission.
  • Misrepresent UniTracks calculations as official university results or advice.

8. Third-party services

UniTracks may interact with Apple, Google, iCloud, Calendar, Mail and other platform services. Those services are governed by their own terms and may change or become unavailable. We are not responsible for third-party systems outside our control.

If you downloaded UniTracks from Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If you downloaded it from Google Play, the applicable Google Play terms also apply. If those terms conflict with these Terms, the mandatory store terms control to the extent of the conflict.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep UniTracks reliable, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. Device restrictions, operating-system changes, store reviews, network conditions and third-party services may affect features.

We may maintain, fix, improve, add, remove or change features where reasonably necessary. We will not intentionally remove paid access during an active subscription without a valid reason or an appropriate remedy required by law.

10. Suspension and termination

You may stop using UniTracks at any time. We may suspend or restrict access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, abuse, security risks, legal requirements or a serious breach of these Terms.

Termination does not automatically cancel a store subscription. You must manage cancellation through Apple or Google.

11. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of statutory consumer rights, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Subject to that, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you began using UniTracks, for losses caused by inaccurate or incomplete information you entered, for official academic decisions, or for failures of third-party services outside our reasonable control.

UniTracks is supplied for personal use. We are not responsible for business losses such as lost profit, revenue, opportunity or business interruption.

12. Consumer rights

These Terms do not affect rights you have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or other mandatory consumer law. Digital content must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality where those statutory standards apply.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to UniTracks, providers or the law. We will update the date above and give additional notice where a change materially affects you. Changes do not remove rights already accrued under an existing purchase.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep any mandatory protections provided by the law of your home country. You may bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law.

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern promptly.
