Calculate a weighted university average

UniTracks accounts for different module credit values and assessment weightings rather than treating every result equally. Your current-year and overall degree results update after every edit.

How university grade calculations work →

Work backwards from your target

Pick a target classification and the Goal Requirement shows the average needed across your remaining work. Exact values are retained even when a target is secured or mathematically out of reach.

Questions about calculating your degree

How is my university average calculated?+

Each module mark is weighted by its credit value, and each assessment is weighted within its module. Your university may also apply different weightings to different academic years.

Can I calculate what I need for a 2:1 or First?+

Yes. Choose your target and UniTracks calculates the average needed across your remaining assessments from the marks, credits and weightings you enter.

Does every UK university use the same classification rules?+

No. Boundaries such as 70% for a First and 60% for a 2:1 are common, but year weightings, rounding, borderline rules and course requirements vary. Check your official course regulations before relying on any projection.

Is the UniTracks degree calculator free?+

Yes. You can use the complete calculator in your browser without creating an account or downloading the app.

Can I move my calculator into the UniTracks app?+

Yes. Once you have entered meaningful degree data, you can generate private transfer QR codes and review everything before importing it into UniTracks.
